For decades I have been trying to design web sites that are both functional and pleasing to the eye. It is a moving target

Recently I restarted the quest for a framework / template combination that would please on ginormous monitors or mobile devices. I sampled Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal and found their structure to limit my creativity. I created projects using PHP Frameworks such as CakePHP and Yii.

I am now starting anew with MODX. Initially the process was slow, but I have found a simple elegance to MODX. There are few templates available for MODX, this actually worked to my advantage since I wanted the site to be pixel flexible. I started with The 1140px Grid and combined it with Foundation CSS and other generously offered art from the web and came up with the present offering. I know that this is just a start but I am excited.
